Some stories don’t start with grand plans. They begin quietly-late nights, lots of chai, and a heart full of hope.

That’s how Nesavu started.

Honestly, when we began this journey, it wasn’t about winning awards or becoming a big brand. It was just about creating something meaningful-something rooted in our traditions, made with love, and made for kids who light up every family function.

But today, as we write this, we’re still a little in shock (and a lot grateful). Nesavu just won the Best Indian Festive Wear Brand at the Kidsstoppress Awards! 🎉

That Award Night? Unforgettable.

The KSP Awards were nerve-wracking, to say the least. The suspense was real. We had no idea who would win. And when they finally called our name… it was one of those moments we’ll never forget.

It wasn’t just about our clothes being recognized. It was about our story-our struggles, our dreams, our team-being seen.

Flashback to Where It All Started

Back in 2019, I went to the same awards in Mumbai. Alone. I didn’t know anyone there. I didn’t speak the language fluently. But I still went. With butterflies in my stomach and big dreams in my bag.

That trip gave me the push I didn’t even know I needed. It showed me what was possible when you take that first scary step.

We Kept Going-Even When It Got Tough

Like many small businesses, we’ve had our fair share of challenges. We started Nesavu when we were still recovering from tough times-financially and emotionally. And then came COVID.

There were so many moments we didn’t know what would happen. But we never stopped showing up. My husband and I poured every ounce of love into it-late nights, missed meals, even bringing our son along to the office some days.

He’s grown up around sewing machines and fabric swatches. Some of his earliest memories are from our design room!

From a Small Team to a Big Family

From a tiny setup to now a team of 50, and from our local community in Tamil Nadu to parents across the world-Nesavu has grown, stitch by stitch.

But one thing has stayed the same: you.

Whether it was a DM on Instagram, a review on our website, or a picture of your little one in a silk frock or kurta-you kept us going.

One of our first customers once told us,
“I’ve been dressing my daughter in Nesavu since her naming ceremony… she’s 7 now. Watching her grow in your clothes feels so special.”

That? That’s why we do what we do.

What’s Next?

We’re not stopping. If anything, we’re just getting started. More storytelling, more beautiful fabrics, more magical outfits for every baby’s milestone-from first steps to festive dances.

We’ll still have late nights. We’ll still triple-check every stitch. And we’ll still pour our hearts into every piece-because childhood deserves celebration.
